I was assaulted by my x husband and it feels so unfair that it does not count.
He frightened and broke my youngest toys,
he still maintains it was my fault, as I verbally abused him for years.
We were all frightened by him, and acknowledgement of this would help victims both children and adults to move on.
I am so glad we are not in the same house as him. :S

I might be wrong but I thought assault or violence was one thing that the courts did take into account.

In a world of abuse, verbal mental and physical it all affects kids no matter which party inflicts it.

It can count when deciding child arrangements
It can count when petitioning grounds for divorce and getting legal aid
But it's very unlikely to matter when deciding finances.
