Will my child have to move abroad?

My American wife may be losing her right to remain the UK soon as we have been married less than 2 years before divorce proceedings started. If she is forced to leave the country, what happens to our young child? There is currently a prohibitive steps order preventing her from taking our child abroad but presumably if she can't stay, she can apply to have this lifted and just leave with the child?

Any help much appreciated.

I honestly dont know.
Gut feeling, yes.. if she has no right to stay here she can lift that.
I would make sure you get the order of fighting right:
Her minor child is British and has a close bond in this country. Therfore your wife has to stay ...for the sake and welfare of a Brithish Citizen. If that fails then I would go and try to prevent the child to move. But I think you might be unsuccesful in this one.
