HI, im new here so im sorry if this has already been asked and answered, however any advice would be greatly appreciated.

my ex has recently stated she wants to apply for a child arrangement order for me to have my daughter one evening through the week,
i pay her £150 a month more then csa recommended, i had her 120 nights in 2023 so pretty much 1/3 of the year, however, the order would prove difficult for me as i work away all over europe so wouldnt be able to make a weeknight but i have always made it home to pick her up from school on my weekends, never left her hanging, used all my annual leave from work to have her on school holidays and as stated earlier have her what i deem a reasonable amount of time.

so basically i am looking for any advice on whether or not a court would grant the order given the above circumstances of which i can prove and the fact that if it was granted i couldnt carry out my job therefore id have to leave and search and probably take a less paid job without the travel and pay less maintenance.

also just to add, i live 1.5 hours away so would it be deemed fait to make her sit in the car all that time before and after school more the necessary

hope that makes sense

thanks in advance for any advice given

A court can’t order you to pick up or look after your daughter on a day that you are not able to or don’t want to.
