Hi,

Just an update on my situation. I wrote to his solicitors a letter asking him to consent or I would file for a special order. He replied back with some questions he wanted answering before he would consent. I replied to all his questions and he still refused to consent.

Yesterday we had our first hearing for ancillary relief and I asked him to consent for our trip or I was filing the case. After dragging it for another hour he agreed when he saw me standing with 175 pounds in my hand for the application fee!!

His case was weak as he lived 2 hours away from our town in a shared accomodation with 3 other men and visited my daughter only once in 4 months. He also had no alternate plan to provide for her and had already signed the visa forms. Besides I had a permission letter from the school.

I'm relieved that it was resolved without the expensive procedure and we are looking forward to our trip.

Phew!!
