What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi

I have been to the FDA today and have been informed that I need to submit an updated form E, 4 weeks prior to the next hearing scheduled around October 2019. Could anyone advise me whether I need to also include updated bank statements at the same time or is it just the form that will be required.

Yes, you need to update all of the supporting information including pension CEV if the one you provided is more than 12 months old.

So just to clarify, although I have produced 12 month bank statements (May 2018-June 2019)will I still be required to provide further bank statements for July, August, September 2019 with the updated Form E for the FDR.

I don't have a pension so CEV is not applicable.
