Ive just tried to log onto the chat room and am absolutely devastated the it has gone. This chat room has kept me sane more than once and I will miss the people I have met on there.
Completely understand the reasons but still devastated.
Who is going to stop me doing something stupid now. Forums just dont have that instant reply

Moon River - you aren't alone, there's a couple of threads about this.

As to doing something stupid - just imagine what the chatroomers would say to you and follow their advice!

Yes theres the rub..... that's the only option you will have.......imagine what people would say to you!!!!
Coz there ain't a chat room to actually have real people interracting with you anymore
All the best
pete

I reckon the solicitors were scared of people like me "sounding off" in the chatroom .
This board is now a waste of time for ordianary people .
Anyone got another board ,cos this one has run it's course ?
Maybe we ought to go to the wikivorce yahoo group ?

Changedman,

In case you missed it here is a thread explaining the background to the chat room closing.

www.wikivorce.com/divorce/Divorce-Forum/...-an-explanation.html

FYI - Wiki is managed and run by people who have experienced divorce personally and are dedicated to helping others through it - not by "solicitors".

regards
Ian

I can see your point in closing the room , I would have probably one the same .
Tho it may not be run by solicitors ,they certainly call the shots .
They hate people like me who speak their mind !!
How about re-instating the chatroom ,but closing it after ,say 10pm before the pubs shut , and re-opening at 8am ?
Just a suggestion
