What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Yes but include their costs in income needs if you are providing meals etc.

Thanks hadenoughnow

Can you explain exactly what you mean regarding their income needs though as the form is confusing me a lot.

My daughter is an apprentice 18 with asd etc
And my son is 21 working 30 hours a week

Also would I include my daughters asd on the form anywhere in regards food needs - needing me here to make sure food is ready so she doesn’t go into meltdowns etc etc
I also work 2 jobs to fit around my daughters needs
She doesn’t currently claim pip and because of the apprenticeship I don’t get maintenance
The apprenticeship is not guaranteed as asd children find it hard to commit.

Thanks
