What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I'm a Litigant in Person, other side is represented and playing thebsystem very well. The other side has not made a full and frank disclosure, they have signed away a business during proceedings for free to a friend. They have been claiming not to be able to get anything relating to the profitable business.
we have to exchange without prejudice letter in a few days. Can anyone advise on how to draft one in my case? I was quoted 1000 + VAT to get it done and that's a discounts rate. I can't even afford that.

There's a child that rhe other side isn't supporting. Marriage was short, property was mine for years becore we met but they want a share. They claim to have contributed to the payments but cannot produce proof of earnings for that time.

Hope I can get help. Thanks
