What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

My STBX and I have exchanged form E, he submitted he's a week and half late, only submitted bank statements for 1 account even though he listed other accounts.

Questions have been exchanged, again he submitted he's late.

Due to the amount of evidence he hasn't declared i.e bank statements, trust fund, bonds, inheritance my solicitor has spent a lot of time in producing the questionnaire.

I am running out of money and worried about how will I continue paying my solicitor if I have no money left. I don't work and until we have settled I won't be in a position to buy a home, I'm currently living with family.

any advice greatly appreciated

You could ditch your solicitor and represent yourself. If you need support, there's lots available via this site. As well as the free information and advice and this forum, we have a range of cost effective services to support LIPs both in and out of court.
