What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

hi i would like to ask anyone whom may have been in similar corcumstances.
i have written an email asking my solicitor to provide ,me with an up to date costing of my legal fees. this was so i culd caluclate whether the offer sent by my ex was acceptable or not. i very much doubt it will be but wanted to make sure.
i have had no response from him in fact this is what it has been like all the way through, whenever i ask for anything.
how do i make an informed desision if i dont know what my full costs are to date.
what could the reason be for him not responding like this because all it is doing is holding things back which i do not want especially as my home is about to be repossesed as the ex will not pay the mortgage and will not pay the interest even though he was offered to get that money back from the sale of the house.
i am not in a position to pay anything otherwise i would. i couldnt take out the government thing as he wouldnt sign the forms for me to do so, and it is a loan which on the little income i have i would not be able to pay back.
my ex is deliberately making me homeless.
