What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Asking for advice please.
Signed Consent Order in March 2024. EX had transferred money to a family member before financial disclosure saying it was a loan he paid back. (Loaned £100000 after separation , had a contract then paid back within months ) I believe it was a gift from family member and made to
look like a loan.
Less than a month after consent order sealed he was able to spend in the region of £30000 on home improvements stating it was a loan but wouldn't say who from. Possibly same family member giving him back the money he was originally gifted
I appreciate what he does with his money is up to him however can't help but feel he hid money before I signed consent order. (Whilst married he didn't disclose to me a £40000 bonus he received) hence why he is not trustworthy.
