Hi,

Both myself and my ex are unable to agree to the average valuation of our property. We have agreed to have a RICs valuation, however i am not comfortable with the fact that they do not seek a marketing appraisal but a formal valuation for divorce purposes without the need for a structural survey. Is this normal practice? We had a extension built,but I'm struggling to locate any planning consent and wonder if I should suggest the instruction to include structural?

in addition the solictor has advised that someone else (from his side) can attend whilst this is being undertakens, is this normal practice to include this? My ex lives in the states and won't be in attendance.
