What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I am a respondent and am self-representing. I have a First Appointment hearing coming up. We have exchanged questionnaires. The applicant's solicitor failed to meet deadlines and send me documents. I sent all mine to them on time. They want me to dispose of the Fist Appointment and go straight to FDR. I don't consent. I also have questions about the applicant's questionnaire.
Can I ask the judge at the First Appointment to clarify some of the questions in the applicant's questionnaire and ask clarity as to why some questions are being asked or what is meant by them?
Also, should I bring to the court's attention the non-compliance of his solicitors?
Thanks.
