What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

the law society have just got me £4k back from ex solicitors, I had to sack them as they were doing not a fat lot and charging me for it. My new solicitors have done more in two months than the old ones in 18 months, I am now going to court (again) for a conflict of interest to be raised against my company solicitors who are acting for my ex husband in matrimonial and my limited company also on my partnership and will not deal with me. They would not release the share holders agreement to me until they tried to use it against me, tut tut tut.

So now looking at a third year for the finances to be sorted and all my income stolen by my ex husband, Great! Oh and my business assets and he has sold off most of the matrimonial assets and has falsified his form E.
