hi all
i was in a bit of a mess with my overdraft after my divorce and my mother lent me some money to half clear it she said i could pay it back when i am in a better position,a friend yesterday said this could effect my tax credits but could not tell me why , she said she has heard it somewere,can any one advise me,as i dont want to get in to any trouble with the tax credit office , as i report all changes i need to. it has upset me a little as i dont want to be worried about this over the holiday. any one heard of this thanks in advance

i wouldnt worry about it, you can say it was a loan from a family member.
changes should be reported like a change in family circumstances and income.
