Hi
I am currently divorcing my husband and have a question about Tax Credits. Due to financial restraints my husband & I are still living together whilst we are divorcing. As he is in the last few months of his University degree and has no income I am still paying the bills and child care for our two children. Can I claim tax credits as a single parent even though our divorce is not settled and we still live togther?

Give the tax credits people a ring as they are quite helpful but the short answer is yes as long as you are living separate lives in the same house, e.g separate bedrooms, not doing his cooking or washing etc.
