I have twin sons who are both doing their A levels. Under the terms of my divorce settlement I have too pay maintainance until the boys are 17 or leave fulltime education.I am led to believe that fulltime education includes A levels. But what if either child fails or does not get the grades in his A levels and wants to resit them? Or what if one or both decides the A levels they have chosen is not for them and after a year decide to change to different A levels. Where do I stand regards paying maintainance?

1. This is a public forum - change your username!

2. Surely in both scenarios you would do your utmost to continue supporting them? That''s what parents do.

If they resit Alevels they are still in education so you I''ll still be required to pay CM. As long as child benefit is being received CM should be paid. University isn''t full time education - but attending college doing A levels is full time education. Hope that''s answers your question. Are you paying direct or through CSA?

I pay direct. so when does child benefit end?
So what you are saying is that so long as they are doing A levels no matter how long it takes to get the results they require I am required to pay maintainance?
The maintainance is for their upkeep they are over 16 so can I pay it to them instead of the mother?
