child maintenance is a contribution towards all the costs associated with raising a child so, yes, it can be used for bus fares.

An exception to this might be if the bus fares were expenses related to contact.

Thanks for your post. I am William the Child Maintenance Options Consultant. Child maintenance is a contribution towards the cost of bringing up a child and this can include things like food, clothing and bus fares. Maintenance is also a contribution towards the home that the child lives in and the associated costs of running that home.
