Hi
My ex has now decided I can have my daughter back and resume full custody of her but I was wandering if there is some advise I can have as to how to sort out the contact arrangements. It was going to court now it should be settled via a solicitor. I work late two evenings a week and an early one day.I do not wish to use my mother as childcare if possible as its too much for her my ex would like to call upon her sometimes and although he would like everyother weekend it would not work so good as I work thursdays and Fridays and early monday mornings therefore if I request this from him he is now asking if its temporary, this is from someone who supposedly wanted full custody!!!!.Is there guys out there that can say what they do with contact and how do you split holidays and birthdays etc.

Not sure what you are asking.

every other weekend is fairly usual and either a 50/50 split of holidays or an agreed amount. Birthdays and Christmas usually every other then make sure the appropriate parent has significant days such as fathers/Mothers day and grandparents birthdays.

You can''t however force contact if the other parent doesn''t want it so unfortunately you can''t make them have your daughter on the days you work.

No I realise that but if he is to have my daughter at all unfortunately I changed my job to fit round him taking sole custody, now he has changed his mind I have no choice other than to at least try and ask.Every other weekend would not work for this reason. Thanks for your input.
