This may take a while!!!

i contacted the csa 12 months ago, approx may 2008 with regards to csa payments for my 7 year old son, his father had moved down to cornwall (400 miles away) and i advised him that i was contacting csa regarding payments towards his son as he hadnt paid anything before hand. It is now 12 months since and still there are having problems, i ring up every week as am told to do so and every week i am getting different answers!!! it's doing me nut in...... my ex has quite afew kids by different women and when i started my case with the csa apparently he had 3 cases with the csas but cos they couldnt trace him they where just pending!!! well, they must have thought there luck had come in when i rang with all his details they are now backdating his ex's claims from over 14 years ago ( 1 girl aged 14, 1 boy aged 13 and also another girl aged 10) all by different women where he had never paid a penny. But this has now made my case very confusing cos the csa are now saying that its 'sticking' the computer everytime they try and make a payment from his wage, finally we thought we was getting somewhere when they rung me up and said they was taking a payment out of his april's wage and had confirmed it all with his employeer, only to be told last week that they had cancelled it cos he has rung up the day before they where due to take the payment out claiming he has been paying me £100 per month into my bank account, all off which is untrue and he was to send in proof of this which of course he can't, but now they are back to square one and are saying that my case has to now go 'clerical' good knows what this means apart from a nother 6 months waiting to see if they can sort it, meanwhile he is not paying a penny to any of his kids cos of the mess up with the computer and by the time they sort this out he will have left his job and all the arrears he owes will just be deleted..have wrote a letter of compliant to the csa but honestly feel this is a big waste of my time, no wonder so many women do not bother with the csa as they are a big waste of time, no one even the senior managers know what they are doing.
CAN ANYONE HELP AND SUGGEST ANYTHING I CAN DO TO SPEED THIS WHOLE PROCESS UP.......

Hi

Forget writing to the CSA write to your MP .going cerica means there processing it by hand rather than via the PC.I have heard aot of their sorry excuses about the somputer system going down frankly i think it's a load of rubbish as you never hear of people's housing benfit having such delays like this.

Regards your ex 4 children thats 25% of his net income thats if he does'nt have other relevant children living in his household. As for the arears i'm kissing goodbye to over 6k in arrears as i won't be successful in getting the ex to pay them as he has only just started to pay for the kids via a standing order without the assistance of the CSA, as our case had a tech fault lol what it really meant was we can't be bothered.

As i first said pester your Mp now et them write to the CSA they normay respond quick to them.

Many thanks Angel,

seems like loads of people have problems with the csa, yeah apparenlty 25% of his income, and thats the 4 kids the csa know about, i know of quite a few more as well but i wont go there.... would have thought that the csa would have contacted me first when he said he was paying me £100 before cancelling the whole agreement, i mean anyone could ring and say that and no one would get anywhere, rang tonight and demanded to speak to a manager cos the guy i spoke to was a waste of time, and the manager kept giving me loads of jargon which i explained i didnt understand what she meant, she said that going clerical is for me the worst that could happen to my case, well suppsoe after no maintance payment for 7 years anything i do get ( if, i do get anything) would really be a bonus, i hear loads of people who say that they dont claim csa for their kids cos they have tried with the csa and years down the4 line still havent got anywhere and i know what they mean,
many thanks i will try contacting my MP and see if they can maybe quicken this whole thing up, seems a joke really 12 months and still nothing!!! all this modern technology these days counts for nothing really when u have to do it by hand!!!!
