What can she do?

Looking for some advice. Self and STBX own small hotel. She decided to end marriage last Jan. She wants me to move out. I am currently working a second job to ease cashflow in business. Last mediation session (this Tues) she made it clear that she does not have any commitment to the business and she wants me out. I have big concerns about our children. Eldest boy in GCSE year at school, and seroiusly under-achieving. Middle daughter 12 is very bright, but school report says she too is seriously underachieving. Youngest is 8, again very bright, but a bit out of control. STBX totally mollycoddles and smothers all three. They have lots of freedom, but absolutely no responsibility.

I have decided that I am so concerned about their welfare and education that I am going to give up second job and take care of them full time at the hotel. If she doesn't like that, she can move out herself. What can she legally do about it?

Mike, you still live there? Then she has no legal grounds to remove you under family law.

I so wanted to say to you the other week GIVE UP YOUR JOB! but I didnt think it was my place to as i can understand the pressures you are under in your business, but I honestly think you need to be at the Hotel and sorting out the "staff who dont do much" I think the kids need a firm hand and i think your Mrs needs to get her act together too. She has no inclination to sort or help this business run smooth? What friggin cloud does she live on? IT doesnt benefit her in any way shape or form to let this business run to ground.
She doesnt want it? Then let her decide what to do? This is all her doing anyway, your just trying to do best by everyone and it seems to me your getting left out.
It seems to me that where your staff are concerned you are out there earning when you could probably be saving what you earn by sorting them out.
This all needs a good sorting out and some sort of direction. Gimme a ring I will come there and sort the lot out for you! hahahhah

I hope you will feel loads better when you get to grips with it all and get rid of ur job!

Thats true Vail. But he has to be careful. She only has to ring the police and say he is harrasing her and they may arrest him to prevent a breech of the piece. Its been done before. Chris.

The police are reluctant to get involved in domestic disputes but it is true that she could cause problems by calling, "Wolf!". It does however work both ways. Mike could do it to.

Mike, you need to keep a diary of pertinent points. It is laborious but could be extrememly useful. Just a note of what went on during the day, what you did and any explanation if required. Keep it as factual and unemotional as you can. If it comes to allegations of harrassment you could defend yourself more easily.

Are there any positives in all of this that are worth building on?

I think you said before that the business was in line to make a profit this year. From a business perspective is the outlook good for the business if it was run properly? If you devoted yourself to it what are the prospects? Do you enjoy running it?

If you gave up your other job to concentrate on the business how easy or difficult would it be to get another if you sold the business?

I know this is all wrapped up in emotion so it is difficult to make decisions but I think some hard decisions need to be made. From what you describe I could shake your Ex2b, the family depend on your income and that of the business, does she think youre a magician.

Another thought, do you know any good business advisers in your area who could give a bit of advice for the hotel?

I think you mean arguments when you say domestic.

Ok scene one take one..... Wife phones the filth and says. "My husband is kicking the sh1t out of me we are divorcing and he wont leave".

I think the Police will attend this and arrest the estrainged husband becuase of the keyword "divorce" to protect his wife and children and to prevent a breech.
