Child support and apprentiships

Hi all
Just wondering if someone could help us out.
My step daughter is 18 and working for a apprentiship for 16 hours a week and a has a job at a fast food chain 20 hours a week. She also "volunteers "at a school 25 hours a week. She finished full time college July this year.
Her mother says she still gets cb cause the daughter is on a low wage . We asked her a few weeks ago what was going on and she reckoned cb said nothing changes till dd was 18. Now she is 18 3 weeks ago. Now she is saying she is entitled to cb, ct and working tax ? Is this right

Yes, it could be correct. CB may be paid when a child is continuing an approved course of full time non advanced (A Level standard or less) education or training until a child reaches 20 years of age. Some types of apprenticeships qualify. A child can still work part time (24 hours a week if I remember correctly) and be eligible for CB. If a child qualifies for CB it nearly always follows they qualify for child maintenance.

The new child maintenance rules clearly state.
Child maintenance is payable to the ex misus until the kids turn 65 and are drawing their pension.

Does the apprrentiship and 20 hours a week at a fast food place not count as over 24 hours a week?

you might as well be , i think csa still counts them as a child at 65 dont they?:
