Hi

I have two children from two separate relationships that I need to pay maintenance for. Do I just use the calculator and then divide the figure by two?

Thanks

Hello icklacknok

If you are planning to set up family-based arrangements to pay your maintenance, there are no set rules to follow.

The arrangement can include anything that you are all happy with.

If you would like to use the statutory maintenance rules as a guide for your agreement, you can indeed use the calculator and divide the amount by two. You can find an Online Calculator on the child maintenance Options website, www.cmoptions.org. Other variables would be taken into account, however, if using the statutory service, so bear in mind the online calculator gives you an estimate and not an exact amount.

If you would like more information and a more personalised service, you can contact Child Maintenance Options directly.

Regards

William
