Hello survive

Maintenance and contact are not linked in law, if you are not happy with the agreement you have for contact at the moment, you may wish to consider seeking some legal advice.

As you have a case with the child maintenance Service, you should contact them directly to discuss any issues you have with how they have calculated your payments. You can find more information about how they calculate payments here, www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/upl...hild-maintenance.pdf.

If you would like any further information about all the options available for setting up maintenance payments, you can contact Child Maintenance Options directly, www.cmoptions.org.

Regards

William

continuing on from this thread, please could someone advise as to whether you can make an order direct to the court as an LIP for a contact order( which is a little crazy as the child in question is 15 1/2 and has stated clearly they want to continue contact with both parents , week on and week off)

However the contact is being restricted to 2 days a week only now??????

CMS have advised that a legal order may need to be sought to prove contact

HELP ! Please

Thanks

Bear in mind a contact order ends at 16 so probably a waste of money.

CMS don''t accept contact orders as proof when they are in place so seems bizarre that they are suggesting one.
