My personal experiance of the csa is not good- in fact they are a joke- if your ex is paye then you may stand a chance.
my ex is self employed and makes his figures up as he goes along- and as yet he has not had to produce proof of his earnings .He has not paid taxes here in the uk for 7 years- however they still take his word for it hence my case is now heading for an independent tribunal

i hope you have better luck with them

Hi
Threaten him with the CSA and get what you can by all means but is not a viable threat.
They are practically disbanded. No use to anyone. My ex owes 25-30k. He paid £300. The NEW CSA called me and said could I give him some cash back as he had paid too much! The paternity test cost around £250.He should have paid for that but no one cares. Also the case was 'top secret' for 2 years, which meant no one could access it. Was put in storage for another 2 years. Was sent to Wales, Scotland, in transit for 2 years. I can honestly say....threaten him by all means but do not let him know how useless the CSA are. Pretend you have called them. Will only cause yourself lots of stress if you do.
Good luck x

Thanks all,

I did threaten him with it and his response was "I would hope you had more trust in me"

So, for an easy life I will leave it at the moment. I am just gratefull, having read your posts, that he is owning his responsibilities.

Good luck to those of you who are not getting what your children deserve. It makes me so mad that fathers do this.

C x

Hi key

I was where your at this yr i took him to the tribunal
if you need any help with what you need to prove your case against him i will only gladly help,i found the CSA took his word over mine but the good thing was the tribunal agreed with me and backdated the assesment so now his arrears have really gone up.
