Hi

I am divorced and have an “agreed” payment set up direct to CM from my salary, for my two children.

The ex has “managed” the amount of the CM payment by telling lies to CM about how many days I was going to have the children, after many attempts to get them to change this, or back date a refund, I am now just “getting on” with it and bitting my tongue.

The most important thing to me is seeing my two children - ten and three.

The ex has just decided that on top of my CM payment (direct from my salary) I should be responsible for the nursery / after school payments on the nights I have the children, this equates to around another £250 month.

This is a new one on me, any thoughts on the validity of this claim and how best to deal with it, as we already have the owner of 5he nursery in the middle of it ?

Thanks, Mark

Do they need to attend nursery/after school club on the days you have them or could you have them straight from school?

You often find in cases like yours that it doesn't matter how much you pay it will never be enough and there will be further demands along the line.

You are only obliged to pay the CMS assessed amount. Whether you choose to pay more is your choice.
