sorry but this can go both ways! I am the woman and it looks like I will get screwed to the ground by my ex!!

I have been told by the CSA in order for me to get a substancial amount of my husband wages for the children i must come off income support and get a full time job because it won't be beneficial to me if i am on income support. Between him and his new partner they are bringing into the house £60.000 a year and i am on benefits. He is the one that is guilty in our marriage breakup. That can't be fair surely?

That is correct whilst your on Income support you will only recieve £10 p/w from the child maintenance as they give the rest to the secretary of state.I would advise you see a lone parent advisor at your job centre as getting a part time job could mean you coming off income support and coming to a private agreement with your ex, bearing in mind his new partners income will not come into a CSA calculation.

SerieA,missing the point, you weren't very clear in your post it looked apparent that you were having everything paid for you and moaning about it, wholly misconstrued on my part,but to add,i am bitter,bitter becuase she led me a merry dance throughout the marraige, stamped her feet had what she wanted,and led a single life,even down to bedding her good friend whilst married to me!!! ( throughout the marraige) so forgive me for sounding bitter and tarring most women as gold diggers who screw the ex to the deck,FACT,,most do.My fiance',Tigs,whom i post with,isn't a typical woman,married 3 times,and shafted each time by the ex,no-one knows her story but if it was told you'd all be godsmacked,my point is this, there are few and i mean FEW ,women like her in this world and once you have found them don't let them go.We try not to generalise but it is hard not to sometimes as there are gendr traits in us all,point now over with.
Mumov4, thats disgusting!!!! don't get me started on the CSA again!! how can they say that to you? it's awful,and i don't wonder you're angry you have every right to be.Try getting to see your local MP,don't let the matter drop,i think it's awful that just because you're on benefit they won't chase him!!! I hope you get an answer soon and make him pay what he should to his kids,does he work as self employed? does he have a pension? has your Decree Absolute been announced,i only ask because surely you are entitled to half his pension etc? there has to be a way around this for you,see your MP.
Another reason why the CSA are the Gestapo, why hammer the ones who work,both parents, but do nothing for the pwc if they don't? it's disgusting that he is paying nothing,i hope you get it sorted soon, for the sake of your sanity and the kids welfare, "but if he had been sensible instead of thinking with his dick like most men " ........well seems to me that you are tying all men with the same brush

tigs whilst a PWC is on benefit they will more than chase these NRP's as it means getting money back for the secretary of state. The NRP could be on £50,000 per yr and assessed at paying £500 p/w the fact and rules unfortuatly remain whilst the PWC is on income support they will only recieve £10p/w of the child maintenance.All an MP will do is write in on your behalf to make sure the correct assessment is in place i myself have even got Lord Hunt involved in the past, so i have fought the CSA every step of the way, til CSA 3 comes in next few yrs we have to go by these barmy rules.

Crikey i agree with you,, barmy rules indeed, it's awful, just absolutely mind boggling!!!
I thought of something though,,i wonder how many of thses ministers have been divorced and had to survive like the ordinary folk of this country? not many i'll bet, it's the daft ministers and governmnet pillacs who implement these stupid outdated and unfair systems in the first place, all it boils down to is more money into the government coffers while they kid Joe public that they are doing the right and honourable thing by the countrys children!!!

Because whilst there sitting there in their offices wearing there expensive suits they tell us the every day folk that we only need x amount to live on , i'm sure they have never even tried it themselves whilst drinking their earl grey.Which makes a whole mockery of the rights of children saying that children are entitled to this and this , how can the average lone parent do this (and there are a few of us now in that sitituation) , when the goverment give's with 1 hand and take's away with the other.
