Hi

Got Form A sorted. Only problem is the top right hand box.

Case number and court.
I understand this is the case number for the Decree Absolute that I have.
The court was in London. Do I put the London Court?

However I live in the Midlands and I want a local court. How do I ask for this? Enclose a letter?

I did look at the forum first to check. Sorry for asking

Hi Liz

Was your husband the Petitioner in the Divorce, where does he live? What is the Court referred to on the Court Documents?

Ok

He was the respondent in the divorce- decree I checked the court papers and she did not tick the court application for a financial order, just the divorce

The divorce was in Watford... we live in Leicester

Do I fill form in as Watford etc and can I put covering letter to request case moved to Leicester

I say I...I am preparing the bundle and doing the paperwork although it is hubbys financial settlement

Cheers

This must have been a few years ago as now have Central Divorce Centres for the Divorce and finances are still localised.

Yes issue in Watford County Court. Where does the Petitioner wife live now?

Yes you could include a letter requesting that the financial proceedings be listed and heard in your local Family County Court, specifying the Court and your reasons for the transfer.

However, if the ex still lives in Watford or near another County Court and does not agree to the case being transferred to another court then the Judge would need to determine the issue of where the proceedings should be heard. It may be that the First Hearing is listed in Watford and the Judge will hear the application for transfer as part of the first hearing, when everyone is in attendance at court.

If the ex does not oppose the transfer then the judge may be likely to make the order.
