My stubborn stbxw refused to acknowledge and respond to court for months. I obtained a text message from her saying she got the papers but wont reply. I took the screen shot and sent it with Form D11. After 4 weeks of eternity, the Court sent me a letter saying 'The application for deemed service is granted. The petitioner may apply for a hearing date using Form D80E'.

Do I have to inform my stbxw about this court decision or they will receive their own copy? We do not live together. Thanks in advance for guiding me.

No, you can press on without further involvement from your spouse.

The key issue is for them to receive the petition - once that step is achieved they can accede to or defend the petition.

If the petition is not defended, the assumption is that the divorce is agreed and the petitioner can apply for the Decree Nisi.

Thanks so much Charles.
I will proceed to fill D84 and D80E. Some human beings behave worse than animals.
