Hi everyone.
I brought the MH before meeting my ex, I paid a £35,000 deposit. I want to know if this will be taken into account in the settlement or will my ex be entitled to half of it?

You need to post more details as the answer will depend on circumstances.
Post details of ages, incomes, children, all assets and length of marriage including any cohabitation beforehand.

Hi Wyspecial.
I am 54, he is 51. We lived together for just under 6 years, married a year. Divorced in 2013. Had a deed of trust put in place with a 70%-30% split before we married. He earns about £15,000 a year, I earn about £9,000. Pensions are about the same. The house is the only asset, which I still live in. He lives with his partner.

Presumably you paying the £35k deposit is why there is a deed of trust for 70:30?

Given the circumstances you describe there is no reason to see why that split would be unfair.

Are you in a position to pay him 30% of the current equity?

Yes the deed of trust was put in place to protect my deposit, which he willingly signed.
I am looking to remortgage and am awaiting to hear from my financial advisor.
