Hello, my wife and I are divorcing amicably after 13 years of marriage. Our savings earned from combined income are £25k, but we live in a house that passed down to me from my inheritance five years ago worth £400k. I also have inheritance savings worth £600k which have been kept separate. We have mutually agreed that it would be unfair for her to walk away with my inheritance, but this will result in a very imbalanced divorce on paper.

We would like our joints savings of £30k to all go to her seeing as I have a large inheritance to support me, and she can take 1/3 of the house value (£130k) out of the £600k as well. That will leave her with £160k vs me with over £800k. £160k is more than enough for her to cover her needs as she earns £36k while I earn £28k.

My question is: is a judge likely to approve this unequal Consent Order if we get legal advice and show them evidence of it? We both consider this split fair even though it is like 85:15 in my favour.

Are there children involved?
How much do you each earn?
What are your ages and pension provision?
Where will your ex live?

No children, I'm 39 and earn £28k, she's 36 and earns £36k. She will move out and will use most of the money from our divorced to cover much of a mortgage. Her pension provision is 40k, mine is 24k, but we want to keep our respective pension provisions.

How does our plan look now? Thanks for the help.
