Statement of Costs?

So I've filed for a Divorce.

Initially I sort legal advice from a soliitor but very quickly ran out of money. I'm a Litigant in Person with some help from a MacKenzie Friend.

When I complete Form H, do I put down the Soliictors fees, MacKenzie Friend fees and the court costs for the divorce application. the financial order and child arrangement order.

Thank you.

The costs will include solicitors fees, MacKenzie Freind fees and court fees as well as disbursements (third party costs incurred such as valuation fees, Land Registry search fees, barrister's fees etc.)

The costs incurred should be restricted to those incurred in the financial proceedings only - the top of the Form H makes that clear i.e.:

"(Do not include here costs incurred in respect of other aspects of the case, for example, the divorce or civil partnership proceedings, children matters, injunctions, etc.)"

The Form H records all costs in relation to the financial application up to and including each hearing at which the form is used.

If you go to the FDA hearing the form will include all costs up to the end of the hearing. If you go to the FDR the form will include those costs to the FDA and all costs from the FDA to the end of the FDR.

When submitting the Form H you also have to give an estimate of costs which you believe you will incur in the next stage. Those figures are in Part 5 and Part 6 of the form. You only need to complete one part depending upon which stage you are at - typically Part 5 if you are going to the FDA or Part 6 if you are going to the FDR.

If you go to a final hearing you have to use Form H1 which is more complex but essentially the same.
