.. so basically I am being punished for being with (not married too) a man who has been married before..???

In a nutshell: Yes!

On my second marriage to soon-2b ex; I was informed that he had a 5yr old child from a relationship with an ex girlfriend, (not even a wife). They had not lived together, but she made threats to sue us both saying she couldn't pay her mortgage. Her CSA payments of £500 pcm were not enough apparently. I used my mothers Inheritence to support 'us', whilst ex demanded more and more money to pay her Mortgage,(the child needing a home over her head).
My solicitor told me she could claim to live in MY house (!!!) a house I owned before the our marriage, because it was now empty.

This is happening more and more frequently. Another girlfriend of mine had to give up work because she had Cancer and had major surgury. Her husband became depressed and ill, his ex-girlfriend (also not ever married) claimed against my friend for her child-support.

That's why I said, until a person is freed from their financial dealings with their ex, we (new partners) leave ourselves exposed and vulnerable.

well I have taken legal advice, as we are not married his ex cannot legally take me to court for any of my wage :)The law states that a Judge would have to have an extremely good reason for accepting a summons to take me to court for any money or to even call me to give evidence of my income as it would be a serious breach of my human rights article 8.
