As husband and wife team, our company was doing ok, but a downturn in the market and the divorce has left me running it single handed whilst looking after the now 4 year old. Safe to say the business is hanging by a thread. Various proposals exist re the future of the company but all hinge on the final hearing next month for which I'm hanging in there (just).

Yesterday however, the STBX who is also a co-director (doensn't work here, just won't resign from company) came along and took a whooping large asset of the company. He suggested he had a buyer for it but would not disclose who or how much. Last I saw of it was being loaded on a low-loader!

Without it the limited company is surely insolvent. If he has sold it, there are also VAT implications. If he has taken it, where did it go?

Obviously I need to contact my solicitor when the office re-opens on Monday. Police couldn't help as it is a civil matter. I've taken photos and noted times etc.

I've nick-named the ex, 'The Pirate' - he's a liar and a cheat and wow so greedy! I really didn't think he'd stoop to this, stealing from his own company? Funny thing is, when he came to pick up our son for this weekend's contact, (which was after the theft) he didn't say a thing, didn't look at me, nothing. He also brought along his Mum, so it would have been difficult for me to quiz him whilst she was there, he's probably fed her a story. Besides which, I'm better than that. The final Hearing is in 6 weeks, I'll let the judge, do what he or she does best - and that's judge!

If you've any advice or anything like this has happened to you, I'd love to hear the outcome.
