Hello all, I hope you're all keeping well. The Divorce Calculator isn't available at the moment so I was advised to post in here.

Your respective ages;
My husband is 39 and i am 33.

The number of children you have and their ages;
Two children aged 10 and 7

How many nights the children spend with each parent;
All nights with me currently but plan to have 50/50 custody eventually

The length of your marriage and any period of pre marriage cohabitation;
12 years living together, 11 years married.

Your respective incomes;
I am disabled so receive PIP and in the Support Group for Employment and Support Allowance. My income now he's moved out is as follows:

Per month:
Universal Credit: £678.95
ESA: £446.60
PIP: 234.80
Child Benefit: £137.60

Total: £1497.95

His income:

Before tax: £1689.90
After tax, NI and pension: £1398.19

Your respective outgoings;

My expenses are around £1200 per month including mortgage for our FMH.

His outgoings are currently about £700 per month

Your assets - both solely held and joint;
Land: £2000
Sole trader business: £350 in account
Savings: I have £4500. He has £3000.
Equity in house: Around £108'000 but that depends on house sale price.
He has a pension currently worth £30'000

Your liabilities.
Neither of us have any debts.

Thank you. I'm hoping you can provide an idea of what would be fair. I'm unable to get a mortgage and he's been offered a mortgage of £73'000. He's planning to buy a house with his girlfriend so she will be able to increase the amount of mortgage he can get but he's only just about to move in with her so I don't think her income can be taken into account when working out housing need etc?

Presumably your current mortgage is in joint names?

If this is correct, and you can't get it into your sole name, are you sure he can get a mortgage in his own name at all?

Is your current house adapted in anyway because of your disability?

How much would a suitable 3 bed house cost in your area?

I went with him to the meeting with our mortgage provider to see if he could buy me out. He could get enough for the mortgage in his name only but wouldn't have any money to pay me my share of equity so that wasn't really an option unfortunately. I think my only option is Shared Ownership and i'd need around £50'000 for the minimum 25% share. 3 beds are usually around £180'000 upwards. £73'000 was what they offered him during the meeting. Thanks so much for replying!

Why not think about 50:50 with you having the liquid assets?

Total assets £140k

You have £70k from house sale.

He has £38k from house, £2k land and £30k pension total £70k

Would that work for what you want to do?

Adjust figures in your favour to start with then there is room to negotiate.
