A massive thank you to everyone who’s taken part in our project looking at the experience of people who represent themselves in court. I’m posting to say that we’ve just published a brochure with the first results from the project along with some advice about the issues that have been raised. The brochure is available to download from the Birmingham City University website here: bcuassets.blob.core.windows.net/docs/bro...2581170000185134.pdf If anyone who hasn’t taken part so far would like to get in touch and let us know about their experiences of self-representation in court, the survey is still live at bcu.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/diy-justice-survey Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing this - it's a very interesting read.

I am very much in favour of using plain English in court proceedings, rather than antiquated, confusing terminology which doesn't help the average litigant in person.

I'll ask that this is added to our library.

On a side note, I notice that you haven't included Wikivorce in your "Where to to get information and advice" section, perhaps you could include us in the next brochure?
