If you are supposedly living with friends so OW can calaim working tax credits would you be required to give proof of the rent you had paid when it came to financial disclosure?

Would be a fair question if rent is being paid - however he may say as it is a friend they are not asking for rent.

So would that mean he would not need so much to live on?

That would be my thoughts.

Where-ever he lives he'll have to be paying or contributing to Rent/Mortgage, Elec, Gas, Water, Council Tax etc. etc. And have evidence from his bank statement to show this (individual payments or a lump sum)

If he is living somewhere foc, he'll have more disposable income.

Where is he registered for Council Tax?
For the Electoral Roll?

Don't know if he has registered for electoral roll or council tax,( I honestly don't think that would cross his mind, not very practical) I assume though the people he lives with are paying the council tax as they are a couple.

Mmmmmmmm

I'm not an expert on these things - but thought you *had* to state/declare all adults details who live in the house for the Council Tax - so they may have done this for him.

Also - you have to be on the Electoral Roll if you apply for any loan/credit card/mortgage etc. Anything that requires a credit search - so its in everyone's interest to be on the ER because it affects these things. Also gives you the vote, but thats not compulsory.

All valid questions, not sure how he could prove his answers.

Do you know where his mail gets delivered?

I assume to where he is "living" as it would not go to her address due to not wanting tax credit people to know.
