My husband left the marital home over 4months ago. I live there with our 3 children. Things are not good between us. I do not want him in the house unless I very much have too.

As part of the financial settlement I have had a valuation done. I have submitted this information along with my form E. He has now contacted me asking for dates when he can bring an estate agent around the house. I don't particularly mind the estate agent coming round but I don't want him giving them a guided tour. I am willing to do this myself if necessary.

Please can you advise. Do I have to let him do this. I really feel strongly about this and don't want him in at all.

Have you suggested you dealing with the estate agent? He can’t really argue that it has to be him to do the tour, the state agent has been selected by him and will remain neutral.

If he does create a fuss, let him do it. You don’t want him to end up doing it behind your back...and whilst it isn’t nice for you, it’s not worth sweating the small stuff...

I agree, I would reply with “I can show your chosen estate agent round the house on day X at time X”

I would get three market appraisals by estate agents. You choose at least one yourself. Look at both market price and the amount you should expect to sell for. Ask about fees too as you will need that info.
