Hi all,

I'm applying for the final order whilst the Consent Order is with the court.

If I get engaged before the consent order is approved by the court can my ex husband use this against me?

We're fairly amicable and I will be keeping my engagement secret

Unlikely to make any difference.
Are you cohabiting, or intend to soon?
Why the secrecy and if you think it needs to be kept secret why not just wait? Engagement doesn’t have any legal significance.
