As its Christmas are there any charities or church groups local to you that are serving Christmas dinner to the elderly or homeless?

I always support NAS and Macmillan for family reasons but I also support children hospices as I didn''t realise that they don''t get funding like adult hospices.

Could you not do a small amount for a number of different ones?

Or put all the suggestions in a hat and pull one out

If you are open to suggestions then can I put in a mention for a friend of mine, her children have a rare chromosomal disorder and need a huge amount of equipment simply to lead ''normal'' lives.

More information can be found on Fundraising for Findlay .

My son was born in the same month and has various problems - deafness, autism, and severe learning difficulties - but it is nothing compared to what Lottie, Fin & Iona cope with every single day.
