any slow cooker recipes please?

I''m still new on here & slowly making my way around all the different forum topics & yesterday I came across the one with all the money saving tips.
A few people were singing the praises of a slow cooker & me being a lazy cook thought I might get one.
I''m not a lover of spicy foods so has anyone got any easy recipes or ideas for plain cooked meals please

Oh yes I can sing the praises of the slow cooker! Have had one for years and love it.

I have found some great recipes which I use over and over again in "Hamlyn All Colour Cookbook 200 Slow Cooker Recipes" £3.15 on Amazon.

I love my slow cooker. Stews are great in them. Cheap meat is fab and once out really tender.

Mrs Forseti just throws lots of things in - joint of gammon, veg, spices, bit of cider or apple juice - and wonderful meals come out. Magic.

Great for making stock out of a chicken carcass, too.

Not to mention her soups!

"Mrs Forseti''s" Spiced Gammon:

1 gammon joint (you can also use pork chops/shoulder steaks - just reduce the cooking time to no more than 3 hours)
3 bay leaves
1 pint apple juice or cider
1 onion (quartered)
handful of cloves
1 cinnamon stick
small handful of whole black peppercorns
small handful of coriander seeds (optional)
2 whole star anise
1 apple, cut into large chunks (I don''t bother coring the apple)

Put the gammon and ingredients into the slow-cooker, pour over the apple juice or cider, and leave to cook for at least 4 hours. I tend to leave mine in for around 6 hours.

Don''t throw the stock away - sieve it and use it for soups - excellent for lentil soup.
