Hi 6 months in from the shock, still crying most nights. My head is so angry but my heart aches for him and our son doesnt mention him at all. I should hate him he kicked me out and now i am living with my parents job hunting with no acces for stuff even. I cant though. Decree Nisi cane through today i am eleated but he refuses to talk financial settlement. So now preparing for court and its a mind field of information. Some dayS the school run, job hunt, court prep is too much and dad sayd get over it. Not helpful at this point. I look at his double everyday. When will the pressure reduce.

Welcome to wikivorce but sorry you find yourself here.

It will take time. This isn't something you just get over. As you say there will always be a link through your son. There are plenty of people here who know exactly what you are going through and can offer empathy and support.

As far as the finances go, you do need to try to separate the emotions. It is hard but tbh it is more of an accounting exercise than anything else. Financial settlement is based on needs first - and the means you have between you to meet them. Housing for you and your son is a priority.

Do you have a solicitor or are you self representing? If the latter, there are cost effective services avaievia this website to help with things like court paperwork. You can also gets lots of free help from wikipeeps who have been through the process.
