My wife left 4 weeks ago, I have reported incidents to the police and am in councilling dealing with emotional abuse for years. she just turned up lastnight saying she can move back in and bring her family with her. She is named on the mortgage. Can she bring whoever she wants into live?

Unfortunately if she is named on the deeds she has every right to move back to the house.
If things are as bad as you say, you may be able to obtain an occupation order to prevent her from doing so.
You can make an urgent application to court - you will probably need a solicitor to help you do so. The court will make an interim order if the evidence is sufficiently strong - and there will then be a hearing at which she can state her case and the judge will decide whether or not the interim order should be made more permanent.

Thanks for your reply, I accept that she has the riht to come back if she chooses. She has threatened to bring her sister wither and also the 2 Rottweiler’s she left with. Can #he do that? Just bring in anyone she wants. Her sister and I used to get on, but a lot has changed.

She can i’m Afraid ...

But you have the right to live free of abuse ...

An occupation order An occupation order can be granted by the court, and will determine who has the right to live in or is to be excluded from the family home.

Seek support and advice from Respect UK ... they can guide you through the process ...

During my divorce my father become ill ... a lovely man with no axe to grind but the ex refused to have stay at the house. I could have protested and go ahead anyway but my father was to proud to stay where he wasn’t wanted ... He took money off my dad over the years though!

You will get through this ... just reach out for support. I was a victim of domestic abuse and it’s horrendous ... And when in it we aren’t able to make decisions ... we just try to appease the other... our self esteem takes a Knock ... please reach out to Respect
