Welcome to Wikivorce but sorry you find yourself here.

This has clearly come as a shock to you but it may have been something she has been considering for some time.

It is perfectly normal to feel sad and shocked. You may want to think about confiding in a friend or getting some counselling support. Your GP may be able to help.

What I would say is don't allow yourself to be bounced into any major decisions, including leaving the FMH. Take time to properly explore the divorce process and how it works. There is lots of useful information on this site and we also offer cost effective support, including legal advice.

Post questions as they arise and also think about keeping a blog or diary so that you can look back in future and see how far you've come.

You have found us now so you aren't on your own.
