i cannot get legal aid

i cannot believe i am not eligible for legal aid i earn 110.00 pounds a week cleaning and get tax credit i am just about to give up work to go on income support as i can get it automaticly.

i also found myself in the same posistion.You only get it if you are under a certain figure for disposable income. When i started divorce proceedings we still had our joint account and i was living in fh.

I paid so much each month which was a big chunk out of my wages but it was easier than paying all in one go. Most solicitors i think will offer this service. I found when i went for mediation i didnt have to pay, just as well a i didnt find it helpful, my x was very grieved that he had to pay for this despite the fact that in my eyes it was his fault and ow fault that had put me in an awful financial posisition.

£733 a month or less disposable income is a joke!. Sim5355. The tax credits don't count towards it so you need to check that out. Because your well well under the limit!.

Can you get IS if you quit your job..?

Unless the rules have changed giving up a job means you cannot claim IS or JSA for quite some time.
