Hi all, I received some info from sol today, that the exs Legal Aid has been suspended, due to investigation...I assume from Benefit Fraud. After a momentary gloat, that finally his lies were coming back around to bite him in the bum,:)I then started to worry about the implications of what this actually means re my ancillary relief proceedings? My FDR is on 31/10/08. My barrister is booked and I had assumed his also. I now wonder what will happen?? Will things still go ahead as planned or is an adjournment likely? His sol has told my sol, that she really shouldnt still be acting for him ..but still seems to be doing so??

The thought of this dragging on any longer....:(

I was wondering if anyone been through anything similar, that they could offer a best guess on what may happen next??

Thanks,SG

Hi there

Suspension of legal aid does often lead to an adjournment I'm afraid. But look at it this way - you can adjourn it while this is sorted and then hopefully continue with him being represented....or go on 31st with him unrepresented and waste your time.
