Can I stop my STBX bringing her boyfriend home?

My STBX moved out four months ago to live with her boyfriend in his one bedroom council flat. She is now threatening to return to the FMH (see my other thread under property on that one).

What I wanted to know was whether I can refuse entry to her boyfriend or can she ''over-rule'' me?

In fact I have a separate and related question. Our eldest son (25) has sided with her and has threatened to tell the Police about ''abuse'' he has suffered from me. There was no substance to this but I am also concerned about letting him into the property. Can I also refuse entry to him?

We were married and are jointly named on the mortgage.

I hope somebody can help.

You are both entitled to invite guests into the joint property and I don''t think the courts or police would get involved in this.
However, knowing some of your story, I would be taking steps to get an occupancy order against her. Her actions over the past 4 months and the allegations she has made indicate that she is extremely hostile to you. I would say that her returning to the property could potentially cause issues for your younger son who would be witness to this hostility. It would also be detrimental to both of your mental well being. It''s strange though, isn''t it, how she has alleged abuse from you yet is prepared to return to the marital home with no assurances for her safety!!;)
