Hi a restraining order was put on an ex partner of mine, and i was wondering how i get it lifted?
it was put on him in march this year and it is a forever one ordered by a crown court.
would i need to have a solicitor help me, or do i apply direct to the court?
is it an expensive proccess??
thankyou

Crown court suggests the order followed a serious offence, in broad terms what was the offence and it was committed against whom?.

he breached a non molestation order, by stalking me and writing letters to family members. but also had a case dropped which was threatening me with a knife but lack of evidence

I hate to ask this, but why would you want to have a restraining order lifted on someone who did something to warrant a non-molestation order, and then breached that with further threatening behaviour??!!!

It sounds as if his actions have warranted the restraining order and it is there to protect you from any further abuse.

You asked for the order he broke the restriction, so it''s the way it goes, you don''t goto crown court unless its serious.
