Hi Everyone
Im a 47 year old male, I seperated from my partner in 2011, I own the house solely in my name and I still pay and have always paid the morgtage deposits etc, I moved out because I couldnt stand the abuse and neglect from her. I left Oct2011 and rented a room in a house I now rent a bedsit,I have been trying to get back but she wants none of it.
She has my children 11 and 8 years old, my house and the last 40k I had, I asked her when we downsized house because of my company going bust to put the money in my daughters name.
Im not prepared to live like this anymore, ideally I want my house back, custody or split of my children and my money back and she can move in with her new boyfriend
I have always paid the mortgage and various bills each month
Where do I stand please, anyone else in a similar situation to me

Please help

Hi finite

Have you not been through the divorce process? As you left in oct 11 I would say that oct 13 is the 2 years separation time & you should go down this route - have a look on the info on this site in guides & advice & it will take you through the options.

Basically it is Nisi - financial Consent Order & then Absolute but not always in that order the finances for me were at the very end.

Does your X consent to a divorce? If not then you may have to wait for the 5 years separation (sorry) as I think as unreasonable behaviour needs to be within the last 6 months & if you have not lived with each other since 10/11 that may be difficult.

As I said have a look at the guides / info on here & perhaps give them a call.

Stay strong JJx

Hi JJ

We were never married, just living together for 12 years, Im surely in a fairly good postion, I have been giving her a grand a month because she is not getting her working tax credits, think they overpaid her, she is only nice when she wants some money.
I must deal with this now especially as there is another bloke on the scene
