Not long been awake, just sitting having breakfasts and checking over my emails.

On Wednesday I was granted my Decree Absolute. I am now divorced.:):):)
Consent Order is in the bag and I''m now just waiting for the conveyancing solicitor to do their bit with MY house and then I''m all done.

I''m off on holiday in a few weeks with my sons and really looking forward to that. When I get back the first job on my list is to get the the front of my house painted. I''ve waited for so long to do this.

A massive thank you to everyone for all of your support, sound advice and warm wishes. This site is truly wonderful

Well done LG. So, so pleased for you and I know how horrendous this has all been for you and how much work you have done in moving forward. I also know that you are blossoming into the wonderful person you were always meant to be and your calmness, level headedness and wisdom (and many hours on the phone :)) have helped me - still a little way behind you but getting there.

Enjoy your well deserved holiday with your sons. This site is wonderful because of people such as yourself. Love you LG. You''re an inspiration x

LG,

I know how that e-mail must have made you feel when you read it,some elation but also sadness.
You tried your best with him,he failed...

So even though it seems the wrong thing to say,but I offer you congratulations that this is finally over. You are now free to do exactly as you wish,go where you want, and live how you want to live.

You have always been a shoulder that I knew I could lean on,and I appreciated your words in some dark times, but hopefully you will now be where I am...In that sunshine!!!!

Sending you massive cwtchs hun

Aw thank you all so much, you''re all so thoughtful and kind.

Later in the day the envelope with Decree Absolute arrived. All I saw was my name and his name in bold print. Coupled with that were dates of the marriage and when the marriage was dissolved. A bit like looking at a tombstone. I now have to keep this piece of paper, it replaces our marriage certificate.

I have always said that it was little more than a paper exercise. The day he left, we were done but I concede that I was wrong. There is a sadness to it and seeing it in black and white romped that message home a little.

But I''m not stewing on it there''s no really really bad feelings going on. I''m good and really busy with work stuff at the moment. My day in the sunshine is close I can feel the rays, bring it on.

There was one thought than ran through my head yesterday and that is, I wonder if he to felt a pang of sadness when his envelope landed on the mat. I''ll never know I guess but I doubt it after all this is the guy who tossed me aside like an old coat. I won''t forget that ever so yeah sod sadness. It''s his loss.
